New Member Information
Dear Prospective MapleBrook Soccer Association Member: Thanks for your interest in MapleBrook Soccer Association (MBSA). We have prepared this document to give you a quick tour of what our club is about. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Mission Statement: The mission of MBSA is to provide a soccer environment that promotes development, encourages competition and embraces sportsmanship for its members. We do this by providing a high level of training for player and coaching development, holding our players, coaches, parents (membership) to a high level of sportsmanship as set forth by the FIFA Fair Play standards, and fostering a fun culture for our coaches, players, parents and officials. The MBSA is a community volunteer group interested in providing soccer opportunities for youth in the Northwest Suburbs. Summer Teams: MBSA fields summer teams for players from U9 through U19. These teams typically compete in the North District of the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) and play teams in the north/northwest metro area. Â Club Training is included in your Summer team registration. This training is provided by highly qualified professionals and includes both indoor and outdoor training. Each team normally receives between 10-15 hours of training. If you are interested in playing on a summer team for MapleBrook, please plan on attending our player evaluations in July (for our U9/U10 players) or August (for our U11 through U17 players). Additional details can be found on our Tryout page. Please note the registration fee covers the cost of tryouts, club-provided training, MYSA membership, and club operating costs. The registration fee does not cover uniforms, tournaments, or other team expenses. Each team will prepare a detailed budget before the season starts so you know what your total costs will be. Fall Teams: MapleBrook also fields fall soccer teams. The fall season is normally at a less intense pace than the summer season. All the soccer games are played on Saturdays and Sundays. The normal schedule is six games for the season, with the complete fall season being about eight weeks long. Little Blasters: MapleBrook also offers a developmental program for 5 - 8 year old players. There is typically one set of indoor sessions starting in January, two sets of outdoor sessions starting in May and one set of outdoor sessions starting in September. Our primary focus is to provide an environment where players have fun, develop soccer skills, and play at a level were they can be successful. We want both players and parents to learn more about soccer and have a good time while always keeping our Mission Statement in mind. We hope you will play soccer with MapleBrook. If you have any questions about our club, please Contact Us and we will get back to you. For information on what age group your child will play in, click HERE to link to Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA) birthyear guide. 2010 Club Related Expenses: MapleBrook's 2010 Summer Soccer Fee Structure for U9-U15 players: $285-$305 Thank you for your interest in MapleBrook soccer. We hope you decide to play with us!
