Nick Kaufman (U14C1 Boys) and his family recently learned that he has Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).  This will keep Nick from school and sports for the next six months.  The Kaufman’s have been extremely active members with MapleBrook.  Sue (Nick's mom) has been the team manager for her older son Andrew’s team.  Alan (Nick's dad) coached Nick’s team the last two years.  Both boys have played for several years at both C1 and C2 levels while sister, Lauren, is currently playing on the U10 Maroon team.  MapleBrook would like to help you stay in touch with Nick's progress at his CaringBridge web page.  Please help support the Kaufman family through this very challenging time.

Little Blasters is a program designed to introduce the game of soccer to children between the ages of five and eight.  Children will be taught a variety of soccer skills using games that are fun and age appropriate.  Little Blasters provides a positive learning environment where children are encouraged to develop self confidence, relationships with peers, awareness of physical fitness, and most importantly a sense of sportsmanship.  All of the coaches for Little Blasters have gone through a training session where they learned how to break skills down and teach them to children.  One of the coaches’ main goals is to provide a positive experience for every child in the program.  For the summer flyer, click HERE.  To register, please click HERE.  For questions, please email, or call Sara Brandon at 763-670-9974.
