Tryout Policy

Our expectation is that all players register and attend both days of tryouts to earn a spot on a team. Tryouts are an opportunity for our coaches to identify and select players into teams that will give the club the best opportunity to compete at each level. For players old or new, tryouts are meant for them to justify their playing level within the age group. Children grow and develop at different rates, so we feel that it’s important to reevaluate the age group each year. That will provide all our players equal opportunities to improve their development. Players will have the opportunity to play up to a higher level during the year if their performance warrants it.

Players who are unable to attend tryouts will be handled on a case to case basis by the Coaches in that age group along with the Technical Director. It’s important that we stress that missing tryouts is a risk, because it doesn’t allow coaches to evaluate players missing tryouts alongside all the players attending (old and new)!
